MARTIN NEWBURY DRUMMER

ABOUT

Martin is an experienced and respected drummer and percussionist based in London (UK). He is working alongside some great artists in London and across the UK and has established himself as a reliable, hard working and trustworthy musician.
He graduated from The Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM) With a BMus (1st class honours) and was also awarded ‘Outstanding drummer of the year’ out of his graduating year group.
 

Martin has worked, both live and in the studio, with original artists such as Blue Violet, Martha St Arthur, Leddra Chapman, William Poyer, Lauren Ray, Jack Francis, Tessa Violet and Kyiki (Ellie Fletcher) to name a few (see ‘Credits’).
 

In addition to session work, Martin works within theatre and musical theatre, including The History of Soul Show (Soul Street Productions) the Someone Like You-The Adele Songbook tour (Chameleon Music Marketing Ltd), which has taken him all around the UK and Ireland. He has also  been a member of the house band for the new musical theatre workshop night, Signal as well as part of the band for the workshops of A Small Life (Vin Goodwin) and The Season (Jim Barne and Kit Buchan).


Finally, he also plays with a number of function/corporate bands. He is a full time member of AKA Party Band, The Beat Freaks, as well as a fill-in drummer for bands such as Coyote, The Cheers and The Pulse amongst many others.
